作品以亞敘事的方式，通過(guò)一個(gè)胖男孩在一個(gè)夏天中的自為舉動(dòng)，展開(kāi)和顯露某種過(guò)度真實(shí)的身體性對(duì)于自己和他者的影響和看法。當(dāng)自我行為的自由虛擬為一種表演的時(shí)候，作為身體存在的客觀性和真實(shí)性，在與外界的結(jié)構(gòu)中互為作用的關(guān)聯(lián)，就將轉(zhuǎn)化成一種偽的客觀性和真實(shí)性，我們無(wú)法對(duì)這種偽的客觀和真實(shí)進(jìn)行描述，但它時(shí)刻騷癢著我們的身體使我們的神精緊張，并且讓我們深刻感受到它存在的時(shí)間上的永恒，這又提示出這種偽的客觀的一種真實(shí)意義。但是，當(dāng)我們?yōu)榱藷o(wú)聊，只有借助想象去感受它的影響時(shí)，它虛無(wú)縹緲，其實(shí)我們只是正好生活在他者的某種文化中，杜撰出了一場(chǎng)真劇假戲，宛如隔靴搔癢，倍添糾結(jié)，如是一只陰柔的貓無(wú)論手足并用，還是舌舔牙咬，它的后背總有一小塊地方騷癢，它自己永遠(yuǎn)也撓癢不到。
余極，1965年生于中國(guó)四川，1992年畢業(yè)于四川美術(shù)學(xué)院，在北京生活并工作。他的主要作品包括錄像，照片，表演和裝置。他參加過(guò)國(guó)內(nèi)和國(guó)外的各種展覽。如：《新都市主義》(廣東美術(shù)館，中國(guó)廣州，2002年)、《第一屆蒙比利埃中國(guó)當(dāng)代藝術(shù)雙年展》(蒙比利埃，法國(guó)，2005年)、《違章建筑Ⅱ》, 長(zhǎng)征藝術(shù)空間 (北京798，2007年)。

This work by Yu Ji, realized for this exhibition, consists in a sub-narrative video.
“It recounts the behaviour of a young corpulent man in the summer, revealing influences of a surrealist corporal nature on himself and others. As liberty of behaviour is turned into a virtual performance, objectivity and truthfulness of the corporal existence, confronted to the outside world, become fake, they sometime tickle our body, stressing our nerves out and making us feel the eternity of its existence. This shows a certain true aspect of this false objectivity. However, when we are bored, we can only use imagination to feel its influence and its emptiness, we live in the other's culture, a fabricated play of truth and fake, just like an unreachable itch, raveled, the same way as a cat would try to use paws to scratch, tongue to lick or teeth to bite a certain small unreachable part of its back…There will always be an acnestis.”
Yu Ji born in Sichuan in 1965, graduated from the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts in 1992, he lives and works in Beijing. His works mainly consist in videos, photographs, performances and installations. He participated to various exhibitions in China and abroad, such as "The First Triennial of Chinese Art", Guangzhou Arts Museum, Guangzhou, (China, in 2002), "The Biennale of Contemporary Chinese Art in Montpellier" (France, in 2005), "Building Code Violations II", Long March Space, Beijing (China, in 2008). Yu Ji’s exhibition will be held in BizArt Art Center from October 31st to November 30th,2009.
