袁運生:序

吳笛笛的畫想象力很豐富而飽滿,她能用形象和色彩說話,畫面上表達出一種很確切的語言特質(zhì)。記得她在作研究生畢業(yè)創(chuàng)作的時候十二張生肖作品,都展開在十幾平方米的一個房間里,每一幅畫都有很強的造型意識和比較復雜的構圖色彩。讓你看了不覺產(chǎn)生出一種驚異的感覺。和她這個嬌小而活潑的人仿佛有些不大合拍。此時,你會想到一個人當她能釋放自己全部的能量時,你才真正認識了她,并且看到她藝術的特質(zhì)。她的學過設計的背景使她的創(chuàng)作與從小一直學繪畫的人有所不同,有更強的建構的意識,比較容易從具體的時空背景中解放出來,我想她是受惠于這一學習經(jīng)歷了。

笛笛的色彩感受力很強,這也是起初她為什么能夠在許多人中被選為研究生的原因。我想,今后她在中央戲劇學院執(zhí)教的經(jīng)歷還會再一次豐富她的文化內(nèi)涵,從更豐富的文化滋養(yǎng)的背景中作出成績。因為她除了有很好的藝術素質(zhì)還有很敏銳的吸收營養(yǎng)的能力和表達自己感受的勇氣。一個獨立的藝術家需要有在社會交往中不斷提高自己判斷力的敏銳和堅毅,并在這個過程中去檢驗自己的文化意識和獨立的意志。使其意識到,學習社會以及關于藝術的思考,現(xiàn)在才真正開始了。而坦誠面對每一個階段的真實的自我是純粹藝術唯一重要的需要?!皠?chuàng)新”不過是一個副產(chǎn)品罷了。新穎的理論只是理論工作者們自己的事業(yè)。而我們,只是一些自己走自己路的工作者。中國藝術走了幾千年的這同一條路并無疑惑。而對當今的紛亂到需要深思。

Preface

Wu Didi’s paintings are full of rich and fertile imagination. She is able to speak with images and colors and her paintings express a very accurate language idiosyncrasy. I remember her works on  12 Chinese Zodiac Signs in her graduate creation as a postgraduate. All the paintings were displayed in a room over ten m2 and each painting had very strong mold consciousness and fairly complex color composition. You could not help but have a feeling of surprise, for they seemed to be ill matched with her person, small and lively. At this time, you would think that one could only understand a person and see the person’s artistic idiosyncrasy when the person set free all her energy. She has studied design. This background distinguishes her creation from those who have always been studying painting. She has a stronger sense of construction. It is easier for her to be liberated from concrete background of time and space. I think that she benefits from this learning experience.

Didi has very strong sensitivity to colors, which was also the reason for her being selected as a postgraduate from so many people in the beginning. I think that her teaching experiences in the Central Academy of Drama in the future will again enrich her cultural contents and she will make achievements with the background of richer cultural nourishment, for she also has very acuminous ability to absorb nourishment and the courage to express herself besides very good artistic makings. An independent artist needs to continuously improve his or her acumen and fortitude of his or her own judgment in social intercourses and check his or her own cultural consciousness and independent will in this process. In this way, he or she realizes that the learning from the society and thinking about art only begin now. While the open and honest confrontation with one’s true self at each stage is the only important need for pure art. “Innovation” is but a by product. Novel theories are only the cause of theorists themselves, while we are only some workers who make our own ways. Chinese art does not have doubt as to the same road that has been taken for several thousand years. But we need deep thinking in face of the present disorder.
