吳嘯海是一個摒棄傳統(tǒng)和知識的冒險(xiǎn)家,他的作品總能讓人們瞥見神圣的光暈,本次展覽不僅僅是一次視覺的洗禮,在藝術(shù)家構(gòu)建的感性經(jīng)驗(yàn)和身臨其境的繪畫中,如在空曠的劇場之中的演繹,始終回旋著一種既原始又充滿神性的聲音,帶領(lǐng)我們進(jìn)入藝術(shù)家潛意識的途徑。本次展覽以“神話”入題,瓦格納認(rèn)為,神話不僅僅是故事,而是一個民族最深刻的價(jià)值觀、恐懼和抱負(fù)的體現(xiàn),它們提供了一種超越個別文化和歷史時(shí)期限制的通用語言。在這種語境下,吳嘯海的藝術(shù)成為神話的容器,他多元且紛繁的藝術(shù)世界成為了向我們傳達(dá)深刻真理和喚起集體記憶的手段,是看似矛盾的兩個對立面最終殊途同歸,萬物歸一。
Wu Xiaohai is an adventurer who eschews tradition and knowledge, his works consistently offering glimpses of divine auras. This exhibition is not merely a visual baptism, rather, it is a journey through the artist's sensuous experiences and immersive paintings, akin to a performance within an expanse of an empty theater, where an echoing, primal, and divine voice lingers, guiding us into the pathways of the artist's subconscious. With "Mythology" as its theme, the exhibition draws upon Wagner's perspective that myths are not merely stories but rather embodiments of a nation's most profound values, fears, and aspirations, providing a universal language that transcends individual cultures and historical epochs.
In this context, Wu Xiaohai's art becomes a vessel for mythology, his diverse and intricate artistic world serving as a means to convey profound truths and evoke collective memories. It is a harmonious convergence of two seemingly contradictory opposites, ultimately leading to a unified whole where all things find their place.

1972年生于湖南
1988年創(chuàng)辦“88文學(xué)社”?
1989年“88文學(xué)社”封停,輟學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)繪畫
1997年畢業(yè)于中央美術(shù)學(xué)院壁畫系
2008年被 BEAUX ART 評選為“2008年度全球十位最具潛力的藝術(shù)家”。
2011-2012年訪學(xué)于英國倫敦藝術(shù)大學(xué)Camberwell美術(shù)學(xué)院。
現(xiàn)工作、生活于北京
作品被收藏于中央美術(shù)學(xué)院美術(shù)館、 FRAC Pays de la Loire、法國政府等機(jī)構(gòu)。

Born in Hunan in 1972
Founded the "88 Literature Club" in 1988.?
In 1989, "88 Literature Club" was closed down, he dropped out of school to study painting.
Graduated from the Mural Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1997.
In 2008, he was selected by BEAUX ART as one of the ten most promising artists in the world in 2008.
In 2011-2012, he studied at Camberwell College of Art, University of the Arts London.
Now lives and works in Beijing
His works are collected by the Art Museum of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, FRAC Pays de la Loire, the French government and other organizations.

當(dāng)代藝術(shù)策展人,曾策劃過包括《未來考古學(xué)—第二屆中國藝術(shù)三年展》(南京博物院)、《書寫—首屆南京國際雙年展》(江蘇省美術(shù)館)、《朦朧—第54屆威尼斯藝術(shù)雙年展特別展》(意大利威尼斯)、《目光所及-后金融危機(jī)時(shí)代的中國新繪畫》(保利博物館,法國泰勒基金會,日本福岡亞洲美術(shù)館等)、《美麗新世界—南京第二屆國際美展》《無界-來自中國的當(dāng)代藝術(shù)》(意大利曼特尼亞美術(shù)館)等多個國內(nèi)外重要展覽項(xiàng)目。曾出版《演變》《超越的維度》《幻想》等多部學(xué)術(shù)專著。

Curator of contemporary art. He has curated projects including "Future Archaeology - The Second Triennial of Chinese Art" (Nanjing Museum), "Writing - The First Nanjing International Biennale" (Jiangsu Art Museum), "Darkness" - Special Exhibition of the 54th Venice Art Biennale (Venice, Italy), "Into the Eyes - New Chinese Paintings in the Post-Financial Crisis Era" (Poly Museum, French Taylor Foundation, Fukuoka Asian Art Museum, Japan, etc.), "Beautiful New World - The 2nd Nanjing International Art Exhibition", "Boundless - Contemporary Art from China" (Mantegna Art Gallery, Italy) and many other important exhibition projects at home and abroad. He has published many academic monographs such as "Evolution", "The Dimension of Transcendence" and "Fantasy".
