我的大部分創(chuàng)作沒有任何的敘事或說理。創(chuàng)作和創(chuàng)作者的心境息息相關。這是一種類似修煉的創(chuàng)作過程。不同階段的創(chuàng)作體現了我不同階段的人生感悟和體驗。同時，我自己也通過創(chuàng)作過程本身感悟和思考著世界和人的本質。
不管我們生存的世界是真實的還是象佛教徒們所認為的“皆為虛妄”。 我總是希望我作品中閑適平凈的人物和山石所體現出的灑脫清凈的心境總能讓人感到幸福和解脫。這是中國自古就有的一種文人精神。這種精神是一種崇尚自然的、清新脫俗的認識世界的方式。
這樣的心境體驗是解讀本次展覽作品的關鍵所在。
Most of my work there is not telling the story or a principle. Cause I think the connection between creation and creator is “ZEM”. It’s such a cultivation. Those four “C” are embody the different stage of my sentiment. And also reflect the my consideration of both humanity & society.
No matter it’s the truth our world is authentically such all “a illusion” which the Buddhists always says. I always wish my work could bring the people feeling with gentle and free. Cause that why I use the “Rock” element to do this exhibition. In the end I hope you could enjoy the “Harmony Spirit” which belongs to the Chinese tradition intellectual culture.
心 石
張勇一直以來表現的都是人和世界的基本母題，他的作品背后承載的是強大的精神體悟。
他從沒被某個形式問題轉移注意力，始終運用著雕塑中最樸素的語言，因為他把握的是藝術中恒常的部分，關注的是這個世界內在的本質。
這次展出的是人與石頭的系列作品，張勇將中國傳統(tǒng)文化語言中的山石和人統(tǒng)一、協調、一致、和睦，在“參天地，贊化育”的精神體悟中感知自在，從而一切都被消解在了靜觀平寧的超越之中。
近年來，張勇的作品開始走向明亮和輕松，這其中最根本的是他對人和世界的理解產生了新的維度，不再是單一的陰暗、焦慮和迷惘，他的作品中，多出了一些清淡、自在、散漫的詩意境界。同時這些變化也來自他對人性新的體驗和開掘，他作品的形式變得愈發(fā)簡樸、清新和含蓄，斂去了形式中的裝飾成分，人的精神體悟被再一次充分地展示了出來。
張勇是一位具有文人氣質的雕塑家，這在當下這個躁動不安的藝術生態(tài)中顯得彌足珍貴，相信他作品中彰顯的藝術價值會使他的作品擁有更持久的生命力。

Stone in mind
Zhang Yong’s works are all about the motif of Humanity and Society. His works carry out a powerful realization of his spirits.
By applying the modest language in sculpture, he is never distracted by the format. He holds the constant part in art and concerns about the essence of hardcore in the world.
Here displays his serial works for” human and rock.” Within the Chinese traditional culture, Zhang Yong coordinates the rock and human in harmony. In the context of Confusion, he surpasses and ends up with equilibrium.
In recent years, Zhang Yong’s works start to light up a bit. It roots in his new dimension in understanding of human and the world, no more unitary darkness, anxiety or confusion. He has shown more freshness, freedom and casualty with poetry expression in his new serials.
Meanwhile those changes derive from his new experience and exploration from human nature. His works turn out to be much simpler, more refreshing and implicit. Apart from those cliché in ornamentals, the spirit of human has once again been well performed.
Zhang Yong is a sculpturer with wisdom and poesy, which is rare price in modern art. We believe the value of his works will last vitality for a long time.
