首屆VIP MFA藝博會(huì)
由VIP在線藝博會(huì)推出的首屆VIP MFA藝博會(huì)6月1日正式亮相，展會(huì)將一直持續(xù)至6月8日。VIP MFA是首個(gè)致力于支持和鼓勵(lì)年輕藝術(shù)家進(jìn)入藝術(shù)市場的評審式在線藝博會(huì)。隨著各國藝術(shù)院校的學(xué)生們開始籌備他們的藝術(shù)碩士畢業(yè)展，VIP MFA也將著力展示由最有天賦的藝術(shù)碩士們創(chuàng)作的優(yōu)秀作品。
由六位世界知名的評委組成的評審團(tuán)從一批邀請參加和公開征集的申請者中挑選出了100位藝術(shù)家參加展會(huì)。至申請截止日止，共有來自25個(gè)國家58所學(xué)校的380位年輕藝術(shù)家被他們的導(dǎo)師甄選出來代表他們的學(xué)校，這其中包括了格拉斯哥藝術(shù)學(xué)校、 Sir JJ School of Art（印度）、Escola de BelasArtes/UFRJ（巴西）以及美國視覺藝術(shù)學(xué)院（SVA）等等。被評委挑選出來的藝術(shù)家可以在VIP MFA上展出5至10件作品，連同他們的藝術(shù)家聲明和每件作品的簡要介紹一起（當(dāng)然，展出作品都是可以出售的）。另外，評審團(tuán)還將從這100位藝術(shù)家中挑選出最佳的三位進(jìn)行獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)，第一、二、三名連同他們的學(xué)院一起會(huì)分別獲得1.5萬美元、1萬美元和5000美元的獎(jiǎng)金。
組成評審團(tuán)的六位評委分別是來自White Columns的Matthew Higgs、來自ICI的Kate Fowler、來自Wattis Institute的Jens Hoffmann、來自Hunter College的Joachim Pissarro以及藝術(shù)家戴安娜-阿爾-哈迪德（Diana Al-Hadid）和張鷗。VIP在線藝博會(huì)的首席執(zhí)行官Lisa Kennedy表示：“VIP MFA將年輕藝術(shù)家與我們正不斷壯大的收藏家與當(dāng)代藝術(shù)經(jīng)銷商群體聯(lián)系在了一起。由他們的導(dǎo)師提供支持再由評委進(jìn)行審核——這些學(xué)生將會(huì)以新一代人的代表的身份影響藝術(shù)界的現(xiàn)狀，他們很快將被策展人、批評家以及學(xué)者要求來共享他們的洞察力。”
