瑪斯德比當(dāng)代藝術(shù)中心座落在世界最大的藝術(shù)區(qū)798藝術(shù)區(qū)內(nèi)，是一家推動(dòng)中國(guó)藝術(shù)發(fā)展的非盈利性藝術(shù)中心?，斔沟卤犬?dāng)代藝術(shù)中心以挖掘和整理中國(guó)近20年當(dāng)代藝術(shù)的平民化影像為重要項(xiàng)目，在2005年設(shè)立了文獻(xiàn)展，以舉辦實(shí)驗(yàn)戲劇、先鋒詩(shī)歌、展示北京當(dāng)代藝術(shù)地理、中國(guó)現(xiàn)代建筑論壇、現(xiàn)代舞等活動(dòng)， 來(lái)呈現(xiàn)第一屆文獻(xiàn)展的主題，‘江湖’中的中國(guó)各種多元化的非主流的民間藝術(shù)團(tuán)體與力量?，斔沟卤犬?dāng)代藝術(shù)中心同時(shí)以推薦獨(dú)生一代藝術(shù)家、電子影像為宗旨，2005年至今先后舉辦了獨(dú)生一代群展和后電子影像展、涂鴉藝術(shù)節(jié)等非常實(shí)驗(yàn)性的藝術(shù)活動(dòng)，是一家旨在構(gòu)造中國(guó)當(dāng)代新生藝術(shù)力量的實(shí)驗(yàn)藝術(shù)機(jī)構(gòu)。

　　Must Be Contemporary Art Center

　　Located in the world’s largest art district-798 Art Zone, Must Be Contemporary Art Center is a nonprofit art center which pushes the development of Chinese art. Must Be Contemporary Art Center considers digging and coordinating civilian videos and photographs of contemporary art of the recent 20 years as its important project. It held a documentary exhibition in 2005, and has held experimental drama show, avant poetry exhibit, the geography of Beijing contemporary art show, Chinese contemporary construction forum, contemporary dance show etc in this exhibition. These activities presented the theme of the first documentary exhibition- the vigor of multiplex folk art groups from all corners of the country that belong to the non-mainstream.

　　Must Be Contemporary Art Center also recommends artists by holding solo exhibitions for them, especially for artists who are renowned as experimentalists in contemporary art domain. Its main target is to build a stage for Chinese contemporary art with other Chinese contemporary artists in Beijing’s 798 Art Zone.
