思萊德畫廊成立于2007年進駐798大山子藝術(shù)區(qū)。這一區(qū)域在短短的兩年時間里攫升為國內(nèi)最大、最具國際影響力的藝術(shù)區(qū)。

    閑置廠房經(jīng)改造后，本身成為新的建筑藝術(shù)品，在歷史文脈與發(fā)展范式之間、實用與審美之間與廠區(qū)的舊有建筑展保持了完美的對話。

    “ 798 藝術(shù)區(qū)”所形成的具有國際化色彩的“ Soho 式藝術(shù)區(qū)”和“ Loft 生活方式”，已經(jīng)引起了海內(nèi)外的廣泛關(guān)注。

    繼奧運會之后，798內(nèi)的藝術(shù)機構(gòu)相繼在時尚領(lǐng)域也有所突破。尤倫斯當代藝術(shù)中心與藝術(shù)家和DIOR的合作，JOY與法拉利的合作，引來了國內(nèi)不少知名人士和娛樂圈人士的關(guān)注。這也為思萊德畫廊提供了一個絕佳的藝術(shù)經(jīng)營環(huán)境和舞臺，畫廊將繼續(xù)發(fā)展并推動中國當代新銳藝術(shù)家的藝術(shù)創(chuàng)作，同時也繼續(xù)保持和發(fā)展與已經(jīng)在藝術(shù)領(lǐng)域成熟的藝術(shù)家的合作，我們從商業(yè)領(lǐng)域走出來，回避藝術(shù)商業(yè)化的問題，只懷揣著對藝術(shù)的向往和執(zhí)著精心制作每一次展覽與發(fā)布會。

    思萊德畫廊的功能與角色并非只是一間普通的展示中心，它實際上是一間專門從事藝術(shù)活動展示與策劃，對有潛力藝術(shù)家發(fā)掘和培養(yǎng)，對藝術(shù)發(fā)展進行研究與開發(fā)，是中國當代國際藝術(shù)體系的多功能藝術(shù)機構(gòu)。我們定期舉辦各類藝術(shù)展覽和表演以及發(fā)布活動，發(fā)行藝術(shù)出版物，舉辦學術(shù)交流，為機構(gòu)和企業(yè)及個人藝術(shù)品收藏者提供藝術(shù)前導性的咨詢。
