    “坦克庫·重慶當代藝術中心”坐落在中國西部前沿的重慶黃桷坪，由一個廢棄的軍事倉庫改建而成。這個以軍事武器命名的非贏利性藝術機構(gòu)，兼容著城市的過去和未來兩個時態(tài)，鏈接著藝術與文化、經(jīng)濟的多維關系。中心將通過吸納來自個人或國內(nèi)外藝術基金會等各種形式的資助，舉辦一系列跨地域、多學科、綜合形式的藝術展覽、學術論壇和交流項目。一方面為國內(nèi)外藝術家、創(chuàng)意工作者和藝術機構(gòu)提供理想的棲息地，推介和發(fā)現(xiàn)中國當代藝術的新生力量；另一方面為公眾了解當代藝術提供一個嶄新的視角和溝通渠道，擴大對當代藝術的社會認知度和理解力；同時也為相關的私人和收藏機構(gòu)提供有關中國當代藝術的資源、信息及建議，并促進藝術文化產(chǎn)業(yè)的試驗。作為中國西部地區(qū)唯一的專業(yè)藝術機構(gòu)，“坦克庫·重慶當代藝術中心”將在整合周邊資源、改良本地文化土壤的同時，推動中國西部地區(qū)和全國藝術事業(yè)的發(fā)展，以及搭建國際互動交流的平臺，成為見證和推動中國當代藝術發(fā)展的共時性現(xiàn)場。

 

Tank Loft?Chongqing Contemporary Art Center, rebuilt on a used tank-storehouse, is located on the

main street of Huang Jue-ping, Chongqing, southwest of China. It is a non-profit art organization which

serves as a link to maintain relation between art and culture in many respects, as its name suggestive of

the past of this metropolis will be given new meanings in the future. All kinds of art shows, academic

forums and exchanges across regions are to be realized by means of public or individual art funds through

the center, which provides, on one hand, a place to work for artists, or for any mind of creativity, or for art

organs home and abroad, and opportunities for gifted artists to be introduced and discovered; on the other

hand, a new channel to communicate with and a new access for the public to contemporary art, and a real

storehouse of like information and resources for collectors. Tank Loft?Chongqing Contemporary Art Center,

as the only professional art organ in southwest China, aims to be an art spot of simultaneity to witness and at

once promote contemporary art business in the west part of China through integrating surrounding resources,

cultivating local cultural soil, building a platform for international interaction.

 

 

 

    “坦克庫·重慶當代藝術中心”擁有多個綜合藝術區(qū)、展示廳和相關的配套設備，將定期舉辦涉及不同藝術形式、主題、規(guī)模的展事活動，同時接受個人或藝術機構(gòu)的合作申請，鼓勵藝術創(chuàng)新，以包容、開放的態(tài)度搭建起試驗的藝術現(xiàn)場：

 

 

    Tank Loft?Chongqing Contemporary Art Center functions in several comprehensive art spaces and exhibition halls with related equipments, where art events of different forms, themes and scales will be regularly held. Meanwhile, applications for corporation from individuals or art organs will be acceptable to encourage renovation and to create a spot for art in the light of tolerance and open-mindedness to experiment.

 

 

藝術展覽：囊括繪畫、雕塑、裝置、設計、建筑、音樂、詩歌、舞蹈、戲劇、電影、行為表演及新媒體等各類藝術展示；

 

 

Art exhibition: Various exhibitions are welcome, including exhibition of painting, sculpture, installation, design, architecture, music, poetry, dance, drama, film, photography, action performance and new medias, etc.

 

學術活動：中心將策劃多樣化的藝術活動，邀請國內(nèi)外學者、批評家、藝術家前來舉行學術論壇、藝術講座、交流座談和藝術家對話等。以及為相關的文化表演、新聞發(fā)布會等提供交流平臺。

Academic activities: A variety of forums, lectures, seminars with scholars, critics and artists invited from home and abroad, or dialogues between artists will be carried out so as to develop a platform of exchange for relevant cultural performances and press conference.

 

 

 

 

    “坦克庫·重慶當代藝術”中心擁有功能各異的藝術家工作室，伴隨著藝術家的入駐、更新，將為這塊藝術飛地注入新鮮的活力，同時也使持續(xù)循環(huán)的交流成為可能：

Tank Loft?Chongqing Contemporary Art Center has individual artist studios with required functions, which will be more lively and energetic as the artists stay in and promise further exchanges.

 

 

 

 

為具有實驗性的年輕藝術家提供發(fā)展機遇和成長空間，為期３個月至１年（再次申請需相隔一年）；

Short-Term-Stay-Youth-Artist Studio: It provides youth artists of experimental mind both space and opportunity for further development and growth with a stay-in term from 3 months to 1 year ( It needs one year’s suspension for re-application);

 

常駐藝術家工作室：接受藝術家的常駐申請和相關藝術機構(gòu)的推薦，為期1至2年；

Long-Term-Stay-Artist studio: Applications for long-term-stay-artist studios and recommendations from related art organs are acceptable with a stay-in term from 1 to 2 years.

 

 

國際交流工作室：致力于國際藝術的交流與發(fā)展，謀求同國際藝術機構(gòu)的廣泛合作，為國內(nèi)外藝術家提供展示和對話的交流平臺，實現(xiàn)藝術家的互派計劃。為期1至3個月。

International Exchange Studio: It is a short-term stay program ranging from 1 to 3 months which is devoted to international art exchange and development, seeking corporation with international art organs so as to provide platforms of exhibition and communication for the artists home and abroad.

“坦克庫·重慶當代藝術中心”為不同藝術機構(gòu)、組織間的互動合作提供了良好的平臺：

Tank Loft•Chongqing Contemporary Art Center provides a platform for different art organs and interactive corporation between the organizations.

 

創(chuàng)意空間：中心接受設計師工作室、影像工作室等不同創(chuàng)意空間的申請，這些新興的藝術空間，旨在促進文化產(chǎn)業(yè)的推廣，為藝術家的互動、合作提供可能；

Space for Creation: Applications from design, photography and like studios of creativity are acceptable, which, in return, popularize cultural business and ensure interaction and corporation between artists.

 

 

藝術工作站：為謀求合作發(fā)展，中心接受國內(nèi)外藝術機構(gòu)、藝術媒體設置工作站的申請。積極促成彼此間的交流、互動，共同搭建一個雙贏的發(fā)展平臺、構(gòu)筑開放的實驗空間。

Art Working Station: Applications are acceptable from art organs and art media working stations home and abroad, as is a positive way to construct a platform for win-win development and an experimental space open to communication and interaction.

 

 

 

“坦克庫·重慶當代藝術中心”設有相應的配套設施，不僅打破了單一的藝術家個體格局，拓展了交流的范圍，也使中心本身朝著更多元、更立體的方向綜合拓展：

Tank Loft?Chongqing Contemporary Art Center has related equipments which function as an integral whole by going beyond the individual space of each studio toward a bigger scaled and more comprehensive complex.

 

藝術家公寓：中心內(nèi)設藝術家公寓樓；

Artist Residence: A Building provides apartments for the stay-artists in the center.

 

 

藝術書屋：“坦克庫·重慶當代藝術中心”內(nèi)設藝術書屋，是當代藝術信息的前沿窗口，專業(yè)經(jīng)營國內(nèi)外當代藝術書籍、期刊、雜志。

Art Book Room: A room in the center, in which national and international art books, journals and magazines are available, is allocated as a small world to get refreshed with the latest information about contemporary art circle.
