佩斯北京是由美國紐約最具影響力的PaceWildenstein在北京開設(shè)的分屬機(jī)構(gòu)，在北京開辦最大的一家畫廊。佩斯北京坐落于北京798藝術(shù)區(qū)，占地近3000平方米，目前為園內(nèi)面積最大的空間建筑之一。佩斯北京將一直致力于推動(dòng)亞洲當(dāng)代藝術(shù)的發(fā)展，連通中國、亞洲同國際藝術(shù)市場(chǎng)的共榮。
Pace北京所選這幢鋸齒形包豪斯風(fēng)格建筑是由德國建筑師于上世紀(jì)六十年代為生產(chǎn)光學(xué)儀器制造而設(shè)計(jì)的大型廠房。
佩斯北京總裁冷林先生是中國當(dāng)代重要藝術(shù)評(píng)論家、策劃人、市場(chǎng)專家，多年來致力于中國現(xiàn)代藝術(shù)家的推廣以及推動(dòng)中國藝術(shù)品市場(chǎng)的發(fā)展。
2008年8月2日開幕的首展“遭遇”匯聚了東西方頂級(jí)的藝術(shù)家的肖像佳作：安迪·沃霍爾，亞歷克斯·卡茨，查克·克洛斯，辛迪·舍曼，喬治·巴澤利茨，喬治·康多，吉恩·米切爾·巴斯奎特，杰夫•孔斯，馬林·杜馬，理查德·普林斯，蒂姆·艾特爾，方力鈞，李松松，劉煒，馬六明，祁志龍，村上隆，王廣義，楊少斌，奈良美智，岳敏君，張洹，張曉剛等。
Pace Beijing, the 22,000 square foot gallery established by PaceWildenstein, located in the 798 Art District of Beijing. Pace Beijing is determined to nurture and promote the growth and development of contemporary art in Asia.
The Pace Beijing building was once a Bauhaus style factory both designed and constructed by East German architects in the 1960s.
The President of Pace Beijing, Leng Lin, is a prominent critic, curator and expert of Chinese contemporary art. For many years, Leng has been making invaluable contributions to the promotion and development of Chinese contemporary art world.
Pace Beijing gallery opens its doors to the public with an inaugural exhibition entitled Encounters on August 2, 2008, with the finest international artists such as Andy Warhol, Alex Katz, Chuck Close, Cindy Sherman, Georg Baselitz, George Condo, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Jeff Koons, Marlene Dumas, Richard Prince, Tim Eitel, Fang Lijun, Li Songsong, Liu Wei, Ma Liuming, Qi Zhilong, Takashi Murakami, Wang Guangyi, Yang Shaobing, Yoshimoto Nara, Yue Minjun, Zhang Huan, and Zhang Xiaogang among others.
