　　中國的文化大革命打破和批判了一切傳統(tǒng)道德觀念和文化思想，但卻沒有建立新的道德和文化信仰，舊的已遭捶棄，新的沒有建立，以至于在經(jīng)濟高速發(fā)展的今天，人們內心又一次迷失…
　　馬上(Shang Ma)
　　馬上， 1987年出生于中國杭州，畢業(yè)于舊金山藝術大學油畫系，獲碩士學位，目前旅居于美國舊金山，當代具象表現(xiàn)主義的作品風格的油畫創(chuàng)作是他目前主要的創(chuàng)作方向。
　　現(xiàn)實的生存環(huán)境，不同的文化體驗，給他帶來了理念上的強烈沖擊，讓馬上從自身尋找自我存在與社會存在的聯(lián)系，讓他的作品畫面有一種抒情的傷感，詮釋著這代人的迷茫與抉擇…
　　丹尼爾 Daniel Hoh
　　跨界藝術家丹尼爾（Daniel Hoh ）是美籍北京人，1995年加州大學洛杉磯分校（UCLA)電子工程系畢業(yè)，之后一直在硅谷的高科技公司工作，是資深工程師，主要負責研發(fā)和監(jiān)測各類芯 片。在20多年和硅芯片打交道的過程中看見身邊無數(shù)被淘汰的芯片從此淪為廢品，熱愛藝術的他逐漸受他的藝術評論家夫人和許多藝術家朋友的“熏陶”而 “玩上了創(chuàng)作”。在接觸，參觀了眾多新的藝術展覽后，他開始琢磨怎么把高科技與藝術結合起來，創(chuàng)作出與眾不同的藝術品，而創(chuàng)作材料就是手邊這些雖然高精密卻已成為廢品的“實驗未通過”硅芯片. 讓它們變廢為寶重新轉換身份成為藝術品。
　　曾妮
　　曾妮出身藝術世家，曾妮幼時就顯示出了繪畫方面的天賦。曾妮畢業(yè)于廣州美術學院油畫系，目前在四川大學藝術學院任職副教授。2003年迄今，曾妮先后在中國北京、上海、廣州、成都、重慶、臺北，法國巴黎，挪威奧斯陸，美國舊金山，加拿大溫哥華，韓國首爾，日本東京等城市參加藝術展覽及活動。
　　在曾妮的新作品里，我們看見了她對故土的山水、城市、古跡和文化的巨大變遷的深度思考。對一個出生，成長在長江邊上的藝術家來說，長江流域越來越嚴重的工業(yè)污染、泥沙淤積、移民安置等問題，如同血管被嚴重阻塞的巨人，疲憊而病態(tài)，讓她心痛，也給了她創(chuàng)作上的新突破。這種突破并不是聲嘶力竭的吶喊，而是一種情感沉淀后的提煉與表達，變得舒緩而克制，保持著優(yōu)雅的姿態(tài)。
　　王子豪
　　王子豪， 90后，舊金山藝術大學。當代藝術范圍內的藝術形式都在嘗試，以油畫，水彩和裝置藝術為主。王子豪的作品里有一種顯而易見的“迷惑”。 或許 “尋找自己”和“沉浸”在自我的世界會讓這代人與之前任何一代人有不一樣的語境。
　　林斐斐
　　出生于遼寧省大連市。現(xiàn)生活工作于美國加州薩克拉門托。中國魯迅美術學院油畫系。新表現(xiàn)主義工作室，專業(yè)：油畫，獲學士學位。2011年，魯迅美術學院新表現(xiàn)主義繪畫研究工作室攻讀研究生。2013，駐地挪威奧斯陸國立美術學院學習版2011-2014年，魯迅美術學院新表現(xiàn)主義繪畫研究工作室，專業(yè)：油畫，獲碩士學位。
　　巨燕
　　巨燕，生于山東，1987年畢業(yè)于山東藝術學院國畫專業(yè)。2000年移居上海，2004年進入上海油雕院進修油畫。2012年在上海美術館舉辦《正負極》個人油畫展，之后參展第九屆上海雙年展、上海春季藝術沙龍、韓國青州國際工藝雙年展…2013年7月移民美國，現(xiàn)居加州。

　　Andy Cunningham
　　My work is about painting. My work is about color. My work is about space,the grid, line, mass, and shape. My work is also about speed in working or theresidue of the act of working in a speedy fashion. My work is aboutcomposition. My work is about these things as content in the context of makingart. Born in New York, Andy Cunningham currently lives in Sacramento, wherehe teaches drawing at Sacramento Country Day School. Cunningham studiedstudio art at California College of Arts and Crafts and UC Davis and holds aMaster of Arts degree in Combined Media from Hunter College in New YorkCity. Cunningham’s work has been exhibited widely in the Sacramento region,including Brickhouse Gallery and the Crocker-Kinglsey Art Competition at the Crocker Art Museum; on the East Coast; and in Germany, the Netherlands,France and China. He secretly wishes he were a better fly fisherman.

　　Statement:
　　Three years ago I was stagnant. I was comfortable, but my life and my art werecomplacent. I knew I was in need of a dramatic, seismic change in the way Ithought about and made paintings. I had to become REALLYUNCOMFORTABLE in order to push my life and my work in a new direction.So I moved to a country where I didn’t know anyone, had no connections,started a job I had no experience doing, with no knowledge of the language. Mymove to China was one of the most terrifying things I had ever done, but theuncomfortableness I felt reinvigorated my creative practice. This new body ofwork is based on the last two years I spent in various Chinese cities.
　　Before a painting becomes a painting, I now form a rough draft by making acollage. I use my own photographs, my own drawings, and other sourcematerial to form a blueprint for a particular emotion or recollection. Thisprocess is akin to how people construct memory, drawing together fragments ofimages to provoke wider unfolding associations, inviting us to consider howactions, events and representing images are interpreted. Recently this processhas become especially relevant. For me, the value of making collages comesfrom stitching together photos as a fabric, extracting information and thenproviding that cumulative information as a totally different package in the formof a painting. Now my painting process is more spontaneous and loose. Thebrush strokes are larger, more expressive, and I allow for happy mistakes tohappen in the studio. Even my pallet has expanded to include brighter colors.My new progression parallels the many dramatic hybrids of styles that haveoccurred within Chinese contemporary art and culture.
　　Gabriel M. Sanford
　　Gabriel M. Sanford is an artist based in Sacramento, California. Primarily, hiswork is done with pen, ink, and colored pencils; drawing from a long seededinfluence in pattern design and madela representations. Gabriel received an AAin Art as well as Art New Media from American River College (ARC) inSacramento. He competed in various ARC exhibitions receiving several Best ofShow awards for his drawings. Gabriel has been showing his abstract drawingsin the Northern California region for the past 15 years. He also manages eventsfrom a curatorial and promotional capacity throughout the Sacramento area.One of Gabriel’s primary goals is to help showcase the talented artists that hehas been exhibiting with over the years.
　　Kainan Becker
　　Kainan Becker is a artist from northern CA experimenting with mixed mediumsstriving to capture human emotion. By tearing at his blank canvas with a brushand what ever instrument fits his need. He finds a place between chaos andcontrol, allowing his voice to be heard.
　　Each original piece, be it on canvas, found wood, metal, or a old window ordoor, reflects the triumph of a soul finding release through startling deep,vibrant color. Each image is filled with passion, raw and visceral, brought to lifeby the workings of a creative mind, heart, and hands.

She hasa background in set design, illustrating, graphic design, photography, all ofwhich contributes to her passion for creating complicated visual dialogues.Inspired by vogue fashion photography, window displays, thrift stores andanywhere that hosts human connection or performance. The singularity for eachmedium (photography, painting, performance) is the promotion of emotionalawareness and to navigate with symbols.
　　Richard Beckermeyer
　　As a photographer who currently resides in Sacramento, California, I specializein documenting those in need of a visual advocate in education and health. In2010, I received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award for donating over500 hours of service throughout the year to the Center for MulticulturalCooperation, a non-profit focused on teaching storytelling skills to high schoolstudents. In 2005, I interviewed former US president Jimmy Carter about howsocial justice carried over into Habitat for Humanity.

　　Pan Deng
　　Pan Deng was born in the 1960s in China. Deng lived through the Chineseculture revolution. His artistic style and inspiration come from his unique lifeexperiences that towards 1960s to now days China. His expertise is inexpressive and figurative oil paintings and mixed media pieces.
　　Shang Ma
　　Shang Ma was raised in Hangzhou, China. Shang began learning art at a veryyoung age and since then he’s always had a passion for art. He received hisBachelor of Arts degree from Zhejiang Normal University in Jinhua, China.After completing his B.F.A degree, Shang moved to San Francisco and got hisM.F.A degree at Academy of Art University (AAU). Now, he focuses oncontemporary expressive figure painting. Inspired by his various lifeexperiences, he found his own artistic language and art style; his unique figureart represents his perspective of life status of people and the emotions ofexistence. From 2013 to present-day, Shang continues to work on his paintingseries,“Existence,” and to look for answers about his existence from his art.
　　Daniel Hoh
　　Daniel Hoh is an engineer by day and passionate artist by night. His surrounding artist friends and the Bay Area art community motivate him tocreate his innovative artworks. He uses unique materials and mediums  found inthe hi-tech computer science field. Hoh gives new life to the computer chips bydrawing art inspired by history, news, society, and the world.
　　Zeng Ni
　　Zeng Ni was born in 1970s in Chongqing, China. She received her M.F.A.degree from Guang Zhou Academy of Fine Art, China. She is a fine art  graduate teacher and fine art associate professor at Si Chuan University. As a visiting scholar, Zeng Ni currently studies and works at the Stanford University.
　　In her new works, we can see Zeng Ni’s in-depth re ections on the tremendous changes of the rivers, mountains, cities, historical sites, and cultural landscapes taking place in her native land. Born by the Yangtze River, she grew up into an artist witnessing the environmental problems such as industrial  pollution,siltation, and vegetation deterioration and so on in the Yangtze River drainage area. These sights saddened her, and also brought new breakthroughs in her artistic creation, which are not at all a yelling at the top of her voice, but a rened expression as a result of precipitation of her sentiment that is relieved and restrained, maintained in an elegant manner.”
　　Zihao Wang
　　Zihao Wang was born in 1995 in China. He currently studies at the Academy ofArt University. Contemporary oil and watercolor figure painting are among hisartistic expertises. As a young artist, Zihao had passion for expressing his ownsensitive feelings in his art, and discovering his own unique artistic language.
　　Lin Fei Fei (b.1988) is a professional artist from Shenyang, China. She recently moved to America after completing her Master’s degree in Oil Painting at LuXun Academy of Fine Arts. She has experience working and painting in over a dozen countries and has participated in exhibitions in Europe, Asia, and the United States. The themes of Fei's art revolve around freedom and the mixture between emotions and the real world. Many of her pieces combine abstract techniques and realism to explore the energy of life and the varyingatmospheres that people live in.
　　The New Element Art: “ Her paintings are a beautiful blend of emotion andmovement. In 2014 she graduated Valedictorian with her masters in oil  painting from Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in Shenyang. During the years of  earning her masters Lin Fei Fei was awarded multiple scholarships and traveled as an exchange student to ten different countries working on many different art projects. She’s been featured in magazines around the world and now resides in Northern California where she continues to grow and excel as an artist. "

　　Berry Liu is an art critic, curator and prominent journalist.As an international senior journalist, journalism and magazine columnist and achief editor, Liu frequently observes the development of Chinese andinternational modern art. Liu has participated many influential art shows andgalleries. As an art critic and curator, Liu receives invitations to participate andhost international modern art events and galleries.In 2010, Liu immigranted from China to California. Now, Liu continues hercareer in writing, art critiquing and curating. Liu also maintains cooperative,and welcomed relationships with international artists and authors. Due to herunique perspective on the world, Liu is able to redefine the experience of aChinese immigrants and represent Chinese artists residing in the U.S. Liu’scolumns on modern art are internationally recognized, one being “Story of TwoCities.”
